Got the e-mail too. Great action and Amazon's prices certainly are (among) the very lowest now. For me, it's the best R1 discs deal I can find on the internet.
I don't think you can get in on it now though. The only information on the promotion I've found is http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...deId=160066011 which still lists Dec 31st 06 as the last day to qualify. I've tried using the promocodes now and it just says that it can't be applied.
The e-mail says it's still applicable even when it's no longer shown.
Makes more sense if you can get into it still. Did you try to order 3 titles at once (that's what you need to do for the first time - the promo-code was an extra in case it didn't work).
It applies to both formats, no matter which format you ordered the first three of.
I just tried and it says expired. The orig. deal was 10% off for one year from the date of your qualifying purchase so maybe what is extended is the length of time on the 10% off, thru the end of 2007?
It seems that they just extended it for folks who already got in on the deal. I've tried 3-5 titles, blu-ray players, nothing gets the discount to show up.
Got my PS3 4 days too late. :S
Hopefully there will be more google checkout deals. I like only spending $15 per disc.
Right around Christmas Buy.com had a deal going with Google checkout. Purchase $50, get $20 off. Since most titles were either $30 or $20, you just pick one of each, make the purchase and now your two titles were $15ea. Repeat for more titles.
That ended, but a new deal, $10 off $10 at Buy.com for new google checkout users. That is still going on. You can pick up titles like Black Hawk Down for $10.
