Well, I hope Fox and Disney reduce their pricing before some of these titles come out, otherwise, they're going to be really testing my resolve on not buying overpriced software.Posted Image

Damn, where's Google checkout with the 20 off 50 when you need them? Or bring back Reel.com with 5 off 15 and 10 off 25.

These are the ones I'm definitely buying. What a great day for BD. Those Fox titles in particular grabbed my attention!

Fox:

Alien Vs Predator,
Broken Arrow
Ice Age
The Fly '86
Master & Commander
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Independence Day
I, Robot ( Hell yeah! )
Cast Away

MGM:

The Usual Suspects
The Silence of the Lambs

Disney:

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Crimson Tide
The Rock
Open Range

Commando
Master & Commander
Man on Fire
Predator
ID4
I, Robot
The Rock
Crimson Tide
Open Range
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Air Force One

Wow! Way too hard to resist, especially if they are all released with loseless audio.

Why even bother Paramount if this is the crap you are going to give us. Way to step it up!

There are some great titles coming from Fox and Disney. I'm definitley going to look for a BD player now. I love my HD DVD player but they have been slacking with releases in the coming months and it's really pushing me to the BD side. Potter and Matrix just don't do it for me when put up against POTC, ID4, Cast Away, Ice Age, Cars, Master & Commander, The Rock and Crimson Tide.

The Samsung BD-P1000 is getting pretty cheap on ebay, would it be worth it? Does it output a good 720p signal?

I would get a bunch of the titles from Fox, if they were in HD-DVD.. I am not going to get a bluray player for them.

SONY PICTURES HOME ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCEMENTS AND PRESS RELEASE

Not too much new stuff here, but keep in mind this release is only about the first quarter titles as mentioned. I'm sure May will bring us some Spideys Posted Image. Looks like specs for most of their titles, all BD50 discs, loaded with extras. Oh yeah, a few AVC encoded titles as well (Casino Royale) being one of them, for those who complain about codecs.

New titles announced:

CASINO ROYALE 3/13
LAYER CAKE 3/13
A FEW GOOD MEN
JERRY MAGUIRE
HOSTEL

The Samsung is an excellent machine with the updated firmware. I have it and the Panny and PQ wise they're almost the same. Amazon has it new for $550 shipped I believe.
