Hey all, this Christmas I received a Cobra XRS 757 Radar Detector from Wal-Mart (http://www.walmart.c....uct_id=4642483) . It has a rich feature list, but is lacking something I really wanted- cordless operation. It is the mid-level Cobra radar detector that Wal-Mart sells. The high grade is a Cobra XRS 797 (http://www.walmart.c....uct_id=4642482) . In the description for the 797, it says that it includes:

*Battery Voltage Display that provides awareness of battery conditions
*Low Voltage Warning provides an alert when battery voltage falls below 11.9 volts

This would lead me to believe that this is battery operated, but then again, it comes with a DC car cord as well. I haven't been able to get a definite answer on this at all because no where does it just come out and say whether it can be operated cordless or not. Is the Cobra XRS 797 a cordless, battery operated detector? Thanks!
I'm... kinda tired... I think I'll go home now.
