Margheriti is one of the most prolific and versatile of Italian directors specializing in B-movies: the first two in my list are Barbara Steele gothic horrors, then a PIRANHA (1978) clone, next a DAWN OF THE DEAD (1978) rip-off, then a peplum, then a swashbuckler, a sci-fi saga, two INDIANA JONES imitations and, finally, a RAMBO-ish revenge action movie!!

There are several of his other films I’d like to watch especially THE VIRGIN OF NUREMBERG (1963), SCHOOL GIRL KILLER (1968), VENGEANCE (1968), WEB OF THE SPIDER (1971; a remake of his own CASTLE OF BLOOD) and SEVEN DEATHS IN THE CAT’S EYE (1973).
