The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

One side has widescreen and the other fullscreen. Another downer is that the widescreen side is single layer, fullscreen is too though.

I also understand there is at least one extra that is separated from the others on the second side. Regardless, the minute I heard it was double sided, I stopped caring about this release.

All right...so here's what amazon.com is telling me...

Quote:
DVD Features:

* Available Subtitles: English, Spanish, French
* Available Audio Tracks: English (Dolby Digital 5.1), Spanish (Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround)
* Commentary by: directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris and writer Michael Arndt Unknown Format
* Disc 1 Side A:
* Full Screen Feature
* Disc 1 Side B:
* Widescreen Feature
* 4 Alternate Endings with optional commentary by directors Jonathan Dayton & Valerie Faris
* "Till the End of Time" performed by DeVotchka from the soundtrack
* Trailers

So, the alternate endings, music video, and trailers are all on the widescreen side? But it is the fullscreen side that has two layers?

This also doesn't make it clear if the commentary is on both sides or what the isolated bonus feature Jason mentions is.

I'm off to check if there is a thread in Software explaining all this...

EDIT** HERE'S the only thread I could find on this. As long as the PQ and SQ are okay with the OAR film and bonus features all on one side, I don't see why this should be a problem. But I guess those could be a couple of big "ifs."

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Okay...here's the details from Fox Home Video

Quote:
# Disc 1 Side A:
# Full Screen Feature
# Audio Commentary with directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris and writer Michael Arndt
# 4 Alternate Endings with optional commentary by directors Jonathan Dayton & Valerie Faris
# "Till the End of Time" performed by DeVotchka from the soundtrack
# Trailers

# Disc 1 Side B:
# Widescreen Feature
# Audio Commentary with Directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris and Writer Michael Arndt
# 4 Alternate Endings with optional commentary by directors Jonathan Dayton & Valerie Faris
# "Till the End of Time" performed by DeVotchka from the soundtrack
# Forced Trailer Combo: Thank You For Smoking, Confetti, Trust the Man

This makes it look like the commentary and features are identical on each side...except for the forced trailers found on the OAR side.

Still doesn't answer why only the FS side would be dual layer...or how the PQ and SQ will be.

I really want to see this.
