Thanks. I completely forgot about the film "While You Were Sleeping". I loved his performance in that as well.

This really saddens me as he was just such a hilarious part of the show. He will be missed.

He was in a few episodes of NYPD Blue, and I really appreciated his character in that short time. Of course, Young Frankenstein as well. RIP.

First time I noticed Peter was in Joe (1970), and it was a harrowing experience. I was 24 and living the life of some of the movies characters. Also I had just moved to upstate New York, where the movies horrible climax occurred.
I have not seen the film since and Peter was so freaked about being cheered for his portrayal that he refused violent roles from then on.
But, we'll alway have Young Frankenstein.

Some men are searchin for the Holy Grail
But there ain't nothin sweeter
Than riden' the rails."

If you're blue and you don't know where to go to why don't you go where fashion sits Puttin' on the Ritz Different types who wear a day coat pants with stripes and cutaway coat perfect fits Puttin' on the Ritz Dressed up like a million-dollar trooper Tryin' hard to look like Gary Cooper (super duper) Come let's mix where Rockefellers walk with sticks or um-ber-ellas in their mitts Puttin' on the Ritz I recently saw Young Frankenstein again on the big screen, and watching a film like that with an audience really drives home how brilliantly funny it was. And the Puttin' on The Ritz dance number is one of my favourite movie scenes, full stop. And Peter Boyle was such a big part of it. While I was not a fan of Raymond, every now and then I would see a random scene with Peter Boyle, and enjoy his performances with Doris Roberts. And there was his X-Files performance (probably the first time I ever saw him) and Taxi Driver. He was just such a talented actor and comedian, and he will be missed. Rest in peace.

Very sad to hear this. Peter Boyle was terrific. From his comedy roles to his dramatic parts, he was an extremely versitile actor. Its unlikely we will see his like again.
