We're in-between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays (in the U.S.). Many of us (today being Black Friday) are a bit gorged on turkey, trimmings, and pie.

Quick question: What's your all-time favorite pie(s)? This does NOT have to be Thanksgiving related. Since picking just one can be difficult for some, let's say you can pick up to three.

I'll start:

1.) Pumpkin.
2.) Banana Cream.

Picking between these two are tough for me. But these are the two I'd pick above all others.

This thread might just give me some ideas about what pies to have on hand for around Christmas! Posted Image Although I think the rest of my family should like pumpkin and banana cream, too! Posted Image

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

1. Chocolate Cream (with homemade filling, not the crappy instant boxed pudding).

2. Raspberry

Apple pie. I remember my mother and grandmother cranking those out with homemade crust. Maybe it was the crust more than anything else?

I saw them there. They looked really good. Although, my mom made one fresh...she used dark Karo and the pie was a bit too sweet for my tastes, but it was still really good.

Put me down for Key Lime Pie. I like all the usual pies, pumpkin (makes a good breakfast), apple, what-hae-you, but a nice tart Key Lime, heavy on the lime juice, light on the sugar, is just what the doctor ordered.

I like most pies, except the ones w/ berries don't make the top of my list.
Key lime is one of my fav's - but I am very picky.
Chocolate pies are always good, but not always great.

Maxim did a top 100 on my favorite types of pie.

My mother's apple pie. It never came out the same way twice, but it didn't really matter.
Tarte tatin (when I can find it) comes in second place, a distant second place.

It's been at least two years since I've had mincemeat pie. Where do you find it?

Nothing with vegetables or coffee in it, thanks.

The correct answers are chocolate, strawberry, and cherry, but we would have also accepted blueberry.

And I'm surprised there are no dirty jokes in this thread yet.
