I don't see it being a combo. It's nearly 2 1/2 hours in length. It's got the IME feature. An hour-long documentary presumably ported over from the SD-DVD. And a Dolby TrueHD track.

Batman Begins pushed my Panasonic's black levels more than just about any DVD I have watched. Can't wait to see what the HD will do.

Great news. The digital screening of Polar Express was absolutely breathtaking. To be able to re-create that experience at home would be dream comes true.

Bluray need to speed up.

Finally.

I'll be picking up both Batman and Polar Express.

Batman Begins in TrueHD? That'll be an experience, no doubt.

Batman Begins already sounds b-e-a-u-tiful on plain ole Dolby Digital 5.1. Thoughts of TrueHD with this one gives me a slight fear for the life of my home's foundation. ;)

Nice. Very nice. My wife's been bugging me about when we were going to watch it on DVD and I kept saying "when the HD version comes out" :D.

According to Cjplay, who is a compressionist, over on AVS there will be a TrueHD track on Batman Begins. This is secondhand knowledge so take it with a grain of salt but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

Not sure what the point of Rhino releasing HD DVD is; most of their DVDs are from VHS-quality masters in the first place. The tiny optimistic corner of me says maybe they'll upgrade their masters and the rest of me just scoffs.
