I've recently purchased the 2nd series of Law & Order: Criminal Intent here in the UK because it was available for this region first and the price came down from something completely ridiculous (<£33) to something more reasonable (>£24). For those who have issues with double-sided dual-layer Universal CDs, as has been stated elsewhere (I think), the R2 release is on six single-sided dual-layer DVDs -- the same as what series 1 is on. They are packed in three slimline 2-disc cases which are held in a cardboard sleeve. They are encoded PAL; interestingly the international release credits that they were broadcast with aren't there, but instead we get the US credits, so there's no jarring change from one series to the next (if that matters to you).
