I know that speed testing isn't new, but the Flash animated part of it is fun:

Nice interface they've created for testing your ISPs throughput.

I found a lot of variability depending on where I tested. NY for example was about 5X Chicago which is odd since Chicago is a lot closer to me physically.

You should post what your advertised speed is too for comparison sake, I'm fairly close to mine 3mb/s down 768kb/s up. My up-down ratio seems to be the most even here. Of course in most instances, that's because my down is slow...

I've always been annoyed when I ftp with others, because they ALWAYS download off of me faster, looking at the other home connections here, I can see why.
I certainly don't expect anyone to remember me 65 years after I die, but you wouldn't know that from the way I act.

We have residential Comcast. I think 6mb/384kb is what they advertise.

Hi, WOW that is Sweet!! But what is a OC3??

OC3 is business-quality broadband with bandwidth up to about 155Mbps. It's used by large businesses, ISPs, web hosts, etc.
