My reviews of three of the initial four are up:

Sky Captain (I didn't note any audio problems--it sounded plenty solid to me)

Tomb Raider:

Sahara:
http://www.digitally....w.php3?ID=8816

My Sleepy Hollow review will most likely be live Thursday.

And, it should be noted, all three of these contain exclusive HD trailers for the features, which were omitted on the standard releases. Paramount is learning!

I posted reviews at http://www.hdtvresource.com , although life was too short to say much about Tomb Raider, which is the second worst movie I've seen this year based on a video game.

Hey, Steve! Great to see you back in action again. I still miss DVD Resource--I don't know that I would have ever gotten into this without you.

Have the three Paramount HD DVD releases scheduled for August 1 been delayed or cancelled?

8-01-06
Four Brothers (Paramount)
The Manchurian Candidate (Paramount)
We Were Soldiers (Paramount)

They appear to have been removed from the AMAZON web site.

Nope, they actually hit the Best Buy shelf early. I picked up all three Friday night. Each was priced at $24.99 and that was quite a surprise. It was worth the few extra bucks to have them in my hands this weekend. A couple of friends are coming over for a high definition double-feature. Amazon is just way too slow with its HD DVD shipping at this point. I guess that is actually terrific news since demand must be well above expectations.

Heads up: MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE looks fabulous---the razor sharp WOW effect people have been wanting in HD DVD.

WE WERE SOLDIERS has an incredible audio mix.

Both very highly recommended. More details in my reviews Monday.

Are there ANY good reviewer that are using a good 1080P front projection display like the Ruby or like that? I mainly are reading reviews on 1280x720 FP or on smaller RP DLP's.
