The Disclaimer Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

Any idea if Best Buy will honor the $10.00 off for Omen and Hills Have Eyes?

I'd rather buy them both there, instead of at Circuit City if possible.

Thanks as usual.

A moderate week. Just

King of Queens
Mary Tyler Moore

subject of course to the usual constraints (e.g., no music replacement, etc.)

Thanks Mike & Patrick.

Charlie Chan finally arrrives this week. In addition to Amazon's great price, I've been advised that (depending on location) Costco's in store price may be a few dollars cheaper than their on-line price, which would make it around $37. I got my set last Friday at it looks fantastic.

Superman seasons 3/4 is on its way and I'll have to pick up MTM S4 and Gable collection in store.

Where are the HD DVD prices for Syriana and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang? I see Blu-Ray titles listed, but nothing for HD DVD.

I can't/don't believe that the movie cash for Superman Returns is a CC exclusive. I'll probably end up getting JL, Superman TAS and Brainiac Attacks at CC and then price match them with BB.

Three free tickets to see Superman means I only have to spring for two tickets next week. :)

Thanks Mike!

Anyone know what the difference is between the 1 and 2 disc versions of "Look, Up in the Sky…" are? And is ine of them supposed to be ibcluded in the big Supes mega-set coming this fall? If so, which version?

I too was surprised that there was no Blu-Ray push!

I too was wondering about the HD version of KKBB...

On the subject of Blu Ray, strong prices at Amazon on the BD titles. Plus the deal is still on, I beleive, if you buy a couple BD or HD titles now, they'll give you 10% off all HD/BD releases for the next year. As expensive as those BD titles are at the B&M's, this is a killer deal.

There are also reports of 4 free BD titles if you buy the Samsung BD player. Provided, of course, you can actually find one!

Just NewsRadio S4 and Married With Children S5 for me this week (both already on their way to me from pre-orders). It's always a good week when another season of NewsRadio gets released. :)

As for Blu-Ray promotion, one of the major retailers (listed in the Roundup) will be promoting Blu-Ray in next week's ad. Obviously, more can't be said here but the ad is available elsewhere online.

Especially with Terminator. Amazon is selling it for $12. Apply the 10% discount, if activated, and it's under $11. I ordered it even though I won't have hardware to play it until the PS3 rolls around...

I thought CC was offering animation cells- probably from the animated series?

Also, isn't the movie cash going to be included within the actual sets, as opposed to being a CC exclusive?

I can't believe I missed the announcement regarding Season 4 of MTM. I don't have much money left after the DDD sale, but that is a must. I am also getting The Loved One. I had forgotten I had that on pre-order from DDD.

Nope. Haven't seen an FYE/Coconuts ad in a loooooong time (many weeks). Those stores are still a booming presence in my home area...but they rarely have good prices and choose not to advertise the sales they have. They ARE, however, the stores of choice when I want to peruse some used-DVD bins! :D

Mike, I hope you don't think/I didn't come off as doubting what you were saying. I read it elsewhere last week, too. It's just hard to get my mind around.

I just looked at the ads online for BB and CC. The CC one is the only one to mention the moviecash. It just strikes me as odd that WB would go through the "promotion" of them paying for the movie in the chat a little while ago and then have it confined to one store.

Oh well, still planning on getting the CC stuff and then price matching it all down to the BB prices. I need all the free tickets I can get for this movie.
