Got this in my mail from CD Universe:

It's a "deluxe edition" of Operation: mindcrime. Can't find any details on what it actually is. Someone have the scoop?

What's up with the price? A "deluxe edition" of a CD that has been released this many times can't possibly be that expensive.

Amazon.com has a more detailed description. Strange how this re-release is not mentioned on Queensryche's official Web site. Capitol is releasing this.

I really want Video: Mindcrime but don't want the CDs.

Has anyone seen/heard the Video Mindcrime DVD? I had the VHS back in the day. I already own the remastered CD and don't have any real use for the new live recording, but if the DVD transfer is well done and the audio options are worthwhile (DD/DTS? Anyone know?), I might break down and pick it up anyway.

By way of update, the following user review appears at cduniverse.com:

"What the hell!! With the exception of the last video (the bonus video for Eyes of a Stranger), the audio is a mono track...same as the original VHS version. What gives???? Very cheap"
