Got the new Toshiba HD player Yesterday... Video on my 50 Inch Pioneer Elite Plasma hooked up via HDMI looks stunning at the least... The image on Applo 13 blows away almost any movie HD broadcast I have ever seen....

The Menus are just fantastic, and overlay right onto the movie your watching....

Load times have been nothing more than 1 minute tops.....

More to come gents.....

If you think Apollo 13 looks great (and it does!), just wait until you see some of the other titles. I watched Swordfish last weekend and it's just unbelievable.

Congrats on your new purchase, Steven! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. For me, this was probably the best 500 bucks I ever spent on my HT.

Steve, congratulations on the new purchase. I picked mine up last week and have just been blown away by the image quality. John Toll's cinematography on The Last Samurai looks incredible on HD-DVD. The color performance is amazingly beautiful on these early releases.

Fidelity to the source should always be the goal for Blu-ray releases.

Congrats. I have had mine for 3.5 wks and has worked flawlessly. No freezes or disc problems. Definitely worth the $500.00 from internet vendor. Can't wait for May 23rd releases!!!!!!!!!!!!

High Def digest lists these Universal titles, but no Warner announced so far that I know of

May 23, 2006:

* The Bourne Supremacy (HD-DVD)
* The Chronicles of Riddick (HD-DVD)
* U-571 (HD-DVD)
* Van Helsing (HD-DVD)
