Look, I'm probably way behind most of you who
are watching South Park Season 9 on television.

I am watching the show exclusively through the
DVD releases, and have just started watching the
newly released Season 7 set.

I love South Park, and I am just fascinated by
the sheer brilliance of the show. It's not just
a dumb cartoon. The humor, while often crude, has
a lot of intelligence to it. Through its humor we
often get a very realistic point-of-view at the
world around us. It seems that no matter how
offensive a show may get, there always seems to
be a moral message in there somewhere.

Anyhow....

I just finished watching Fat Butt and Pancake
Head
, and found it to be the funniest episode
I have seen to date. Here's Cartman (ala Senor Wences)
with his J-Lo hand creation who not only snags her
own record deal, but Ben Affleck as well. I was
in tears watching Affleck "making out" with Cartman's
hand. Just the funniest bunch of sh*t I have ever
seen!

If anything upcoming tops this episode, I am looking
forward to seeing it.

Feel free to post your favorites and indicate SEASON.

Taco taco.

I just wish they would put 'The Spirit of Christmas' on a set already! Even an Easter Egg!

I love the "Hennifer" Lopez episode, too.

Another favorite of mine, Raisins, is also on the Season 7 set.

"Ewwww, Ben Affleck spooge!"

I love the ending: "I'm Mitch Conner"

Man, I don't know which is my favorite. That was one of them though. I'd also go with "Proper Condom Use" from Season 5. Mr. Garrison is one messed-up perv. His condom demonstration for the kindergartners was disturbing.

But I think as a whole, the show keeps getting better and better. It never gets stale.

season 7 was probably the most consistant season.

Season 8 is great too, except there's a few episodes after they came back from summer hiatus that weren't up to snuff... giving season 7 the edge IMO.

season 9? worst season since 3 IMO.

here's hoping the controversy and everything gives season 10 a renaissance

The Red Badge Of Gayness (Season 3)
Cartman "fights" the Civil War

And Jonathan: You're not the only one who cannot understand why The Spirit of Christmas, as well as Jesus Vs. Santa, hasn't ended up on a South Park DVD.

I think it's season 5, the "Butters" episode.

Butter's discovers his dad having gay sex on umberous occasions, although he doesn't understand it, and Butter's mom trys to kill him.

I love this episode, it's just so wrong.

Scott Tenorman and Cripple Fight are my all time faves.... funny because season 5 has a lot of mediocre episodes as well, but those two alone make it one of the best seasons ever

Easily the funniest episode I've seen and one of the funniest episodes of any show I've seen. Off the top of my head only MASH "April Fools" can I remember laughing harder or longer.

Fat Butt And Pancake Head is easily an all-time top 10 episode. To this day, when I kiss my wife Lucy I sometimes say "Gimme some taco flavor!" Posted Image

The Lord of the Rings spoof was great, too. I think it might have been in season 6 or 7.

At least one of them has -- Jesus vs. Santa was on a bonus disk that Best Buy included with the Season 2 set. (I forget whether The Spirit Of Christmas was on the disc too.)

I remember when a friend sent me a tape of The Spirit Of Christmas many, many years ago. I wore it out!!! Couldn't believe it when I eventually discovered that they were going to make a TV series out of it. Posted Image

No it isn't, you're thinking of the original uncut version of the pilot episode "Cartman Gets An Anal Probe". It was all done by hand (as opposed to CGI of all the other episodes) and ran about 8 minutes too long so they had to change a lot of things in the version that aired.
Don't you ever, EVER compare me to "Family Guy," you hear me Kyle? Compare me to "Family Guy" again and so help me, I will kill you where you stand!

Do you have any idea what it's like? Everywhere I go: "Hey Cartman you must like 'Family Guy,' right?" "Hey, your sense of humor reminds me of...

Season 7 has several of my all time favorite eps.

Raisins - The Cinderella song is too funny

Christian Hard Rock - "I know enough about Christianity to exploit it". Also, Token kicking the shit out of Cartman.

Casa Bonita - I actually live about 3 miles from it (in Denver). You'd be amazed how many people show up there wearing South Park t-shirts. Best free advertising a restaurant could ask for.
