All I have to say is: IT'S ABOUT FRIGGIN' TIME! I remember back when they were saying this was going to come out by '07! Can't wait for this! I hope they bring back that super cool music for the trailer that they used for the first one.

Might have to rename the pause button on my Blu-ray player remote from Lucille to Ava. :) - Walter.
Fidelity to the source should always be the goal for Blu-ray releases.

Eva Green is a great choice.
Agreed. She's absolutely gorgeous and she has no problem shooting in the buff. With RR at the helm, I expect her performance will be a revelation, too.
Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it meant to roast in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you.

Teaser trailer:

And my friend pointed out that it looks as though Christopher Lloyd has a cameo role, which is no where mentioned on the internet (see the brief shot at 0:35).

"And now the reprimand, from an American critic. He reproaches me for using film as a sacred & lasting medium, like a painting or a book. He does not believe that filmmaking is an inferior art, but he believes, and quite rightly, that a reel goes quickly, that the public are looking above all for relaxation, that film is fragile and that it is pretentious to express the power of one's soul by such ephemeral and delicate means, that Charlie Chaplin's or Buster Keaton's first films can only be seen on very rare and badly spoiled prints. I add that the cinema is making daily progress and that eventually films that we consider marvelous today will soon be forgotten because of new dimensions & colour. This is true. But for 4 weeks this film [The Blood of a Poet] has been shown to audiences that have been so attentive, so eager & so warm, that I wonder after all there is not an anonymous public who are looking for more than relaxation in the cinema." - Jean Cocteau, 1932

Gonna miss Brittany Murphy in this one but the first one had so much going on that I couldn't help really enjoy it.

Cast was great, story was amazing, and the Black and white actually helped the film.

I really hope they don't crap the bed on this one.

Please don't let Miller anywhere near a director's chair for this film.

Edit: Watched the second trailer for this film. Saw credits. Too late.

It's been a long time since the first movie but didn't Rodriguez feel that Miller deserved a directorial credit because so many of the shots were taken straight from the comics? I'm sure they collaborate on set but I'd imagine that Rodriguez is the boss. In short, I doubt this will be The Spirit Part 2.

Any one see this? It opens today. Reviews seem mixed, but this kind of noir isn't everyone's cup of tea. Be interested to see how it performs this weekend.
