Is it possible that the old Disney and Looney Tunes shorts could be presented in HD? I assume they were done on film?

They were done on film. I think, though, that many of the WB shorts are only still in existence as 480i video copies.

Some of the 1930s Technicolor Disney shorts have 3-strip registration issues that need to be addressed.

The Looney Tunes, however, are being given Ultra-Resolution treatment, but I don't know if it's 2K or 4K.

Enough is enough, Disney. No more evasions or excuses. We DEMAND the release Song of the South on Blu-ray along with the uncut version of Bedknobs and Broomsticks on Blu-ray. I am going to boycott The Walt Disney Company until then.
