What is the best to have of all the Dolby decoders out there? I am talking about for DVDs, that generally come in Dolby 5.1.

For example, is a 5.1 source coming out of a 5.1 system better than a 5.1 source out of a 7.1 system? Where does Pro Logic fit in? Can someone give a brief tutorial in Dolby?

I'm still brand new to this too, but I can tell you one thing I've learned. Dolby Digital is better than Prologic. Prologic, from what I understand, just takes the analog L/R inputs and decodes it to 5.1. Digital is just that, a digital signal. I'm not too sure how it'd decoded or whatever, but I can tellyou it sounds WAY better than Prologic.
