During the Christmas break we had our second annual Lord of the rings extended edition marathon at our house. I have a front projector system (Infocus 5700) with a 110" diagonal screen and a 7.1 surround sound system.
We began our viewing (my son, my nephew, his girlfriend, my 90 year old aunt and of course myself-others including my wife came and went)in a comfortable and very dark setting.
The viewing started at 10 am and ended 1 am the next morning with lunch and dinner breaks between films.
I again found the experience moving-a tale of heroism and comradeship-satisfying from the beginning to the end.
I am now rereading the original Tolkein books again for about the 5th time. J.R.R. Tolkein and Peter Jackson, congratulations to both of view.
