The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

The Specials

**BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL! American Pie Presents: Band Camp (Unrated) AND Into the Blue are both available in both OAR and MAR versions...get the correct one(s) ! Also, note that American Pie: Band Camp is also being released in a Rated-version but it is MAR ONLY!...stay away!!! Posted Image And, Dark Wateris being released in BOTH a Theatrical Version and an Unrated version…get the one that’s right for you.

--Some of this week’s releases are actually dated for release on December 26, 2005. Others are dated December 27th.

--Worth noting before we get to the store specials is that anyone interested in picking up any Disney titles this week (Toy Story 2, for example) may want to remember that there were some coupons for $3 off “any Disney DVD” and for Toy Story: 10th Anniversary Edition included in the Cinderella SE released a while back.

--Best Buy, this week, is advertising a $6 savings for anyone who buys Toy Story 2: Special Edition AND one of the following titles: Cinderella SE, Valiant, Kronk’s New Groove or Sky High. See in store or on-line for other titles. Must be purchased on same receipt. The “other titles” are not yet available on-line as I post this thread early Sunday morning.

--Best Buy is also listing a title: The Super Fight: Marciano vs. Ali for $16.99.

--Best Buy is also running a promotion this week of “the original” Dark Water for just $4.99.

--Target is advertising a $6 savings when you buy Toy Story 2: SE ($16.99) and one of the following titles: Toy Story: 10th Anniversary Edition, Cinderella SE or Sky High ($19.99 apiece). Offer automatically processed at register. No rain checks.

Target is also offering a FREE $5 GiftCard with the purchase of The Shield: Season 4. GiftCard automatically given at register. No rain checks.

2046 for sure. The best picture of the year.
Maybe TS2.
Mike, what a way to sell "Into the Blue" with that pic. Then again, she could be in a parka and it'd still be worth it.

Merry Christmas, and thank, Mike and Patrick!

Merry Christmas to all forum posters. I would be getting Toy Story 2 this week...but I want to get the USB Port online adapter for the DS, and it consumes all my money I get. Maybe next week.

Thanks for the round up Mike...and are you going to put the high quality image of Woody and the gang in your signature now?
I need a new signature.

The Twilight Zone-Definitive Edition: Season Five and Toy Story 2: Special Edition for me.

I can't believe the incredibly sucky TZ prices at BB and CC. CC is selling it for list price and BB is not a whole lot better. Checking the Image Entertainment Web site confirms that with the exception of season one ($119.99), all of the definitive box sets have a MSRP of $99.99.

How is it that BB sells season 1 and season 2 for $103.99 (that's $4 over list on season 2!), season 3 & 4 for $73.99, and now, season 5 for $87.99? Since I do not live near Costco, this will absolutely be an online purchase for me.

In any event, thanks much for the roundup Mike and Patrick!

MIke, I hope you are enjoying your holiday Beaver! Posted Image

Hey, we were watching that last night as well! The DVD of course, not the commercial riddled panned and scanned marathon!

Definately Twilight Zone season 5 for me! May be getting Smallville season 4 at CC as well, since it's looking like a pretty good price.

Ho, ho, ho!

Absolutely the DVD! Got into the habit of watching the marathon on Christmas Eve when we'd be setting up for Christmas morning. Now its a matter of popping in the DVD! We all enjoyed it! Posted Image

Well....this sure worked for me!

Went to Target. Picked up TS 2 ($17) and TS ($20) for $37. Minus this week's $6 discount for buying both = $31. Minus the two $3 coupons from Cinderella SE (one for TS, the other for ANY Disney DVD) = $25.

$25/2 = $12.50 apiece! Posted Image

That certainly helps ease the sting of the double dip on the Ultimate Toy Box. Posted Image
