Is there anyone out there that considers this show a 'guilty pleasure'??? I know there is a considerable cult following for "Mama's Family" and I would like to see this released on DVD season sets in the future. Any word on the chances of it happening?

Loved the family on The Carol Burnett Show but hates this show. Could have been so much better.

I'd buy it.

It's a Warner Bros. property. Perhaps they'll look into their vaults when they run out of seasons of "Friends."

Guilty pleasure? You betcha! The only thing I missed was the crossfire between Mama [Vickie Lawrence] and Eunice [Carol Burnett] and Ed [Harvey Corman]. That is what I so loved about it on the Carol Burnett show, but Ken Berry made a pretty good foil, too.

Vicki has been touring the US, doing half her show as Vicki and the other half as Mama.

Ok, I admit it. I went, and I liked it! Time for a reunion show....

She performs in Vegas, at the Orleans Casino(where I work at) alot.
Always tempted to see one of her shows, everyone says it's great!

I'd like to have Mama's Family on DVD.
I'd rather have the later seasons though, when Bud(or is it Bubba?) moved in

Yeah, I'm more of a fan of this show after Carol Burnette and Betty White left, and Bubba showed up. :) So I like the later seasons best.

I would definitely buy this show....I thought it was consistently funny....plus Thelma Harper is the greatest caricature of my grandma (who also is named Thelma) I have ever seen.

My grandmother wasn't named Thelma, but Thelma was almost exactly like her. I can't say I'd buy any DVDs, but I get a chuckle out of seeing it every now and then. Thinking about it makes me miss her.

You guys could ask for it at the tv shows on dvd web site.
It might happen!
I've put in votes for lots of ones most folks don't even remember, but lots of guys would like if they saw them. Like Courtship Of Eddies' Father and The Mother's in Law.

Current issue of "Entertainment Weekly" names "Mama" as one of the Top 25 Guilty Pleasures. :)

This was originally an NBC series, then was resurrected as a syndicated series. Is that likely to cause issues with a DVD release, or was the entire run produced/owned by the same production company?

Wow. You all sure do know a lot about Mama's Family. Very impressive. It is definately one of my late night guilty pleasure shows.

I am appalled at Warner Brothers' lack of incentive to put Mama's Family on DVD. That is the ONE show I've been waiting for on DVD and the rightsholder can't get its act together. WB is too busy trying to release its cartoons on DVD to even try and release all their rights on DVD.

I would like to see a statement from Warners on here that explains what in the *&^$! is going on with that.

I have been waiting for Mama's Family too! There have been shows released that have a LOT less votes.

Just because they have less votes doesn't mean it won't sell better. I'm assuming you're going by TVShowsOnDVD.com's voting. Lost is ranked at 73 and Desperate Housewives is ranked at 179, but we know that they will sell more than pretty much anything this year outside of maybe The Simpsons, Friends, Seinfeld and the Chapelle Show.
