GARDENA, Calif., and WASHINGTON, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nissan North America, Inc. and XM Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: XMSR - News) today announced that Nissan North America has selected XM Satellite Radio as its factory-installed satellite radio solution for Infiniti and Nissan vehicles beginning with the 2008 model year.

More than five hundred thousand Nissan and Infiniti vehicles with factory- installed XM Satellite Radio are projected to be produced for the 2008 model year with more than one million projected annually by the 2010 model year.

In January 2005, Nissan chose XM to be its supplier of satellite-delivered data and telematics services, such as in-vehicle messaging and XM NavTraffic, which delivers current traffic information to vehicle navigation systems. Nissan and XM are now expanding that relationship.

Nissan currently offers XM Satellite Radio as a feature on a variety of Nissan models including the Nissan Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Quest, 350Z Coupe, Murano, Armada, Pathfinder, Frontier, Xterra, and Titan, as well as the Infiniti FX45, G35, M45, Q45, and QX56.

"XM Satellite Radio delivers the entertainment and information content that our customers want," said Jack Collins, Vice President of Product Planning at Nissan North America. "We look forward to expanding our relationship with XM as a means to make our products more attractive to our customers."

"Nissan North America's selection of XM Satellite Radio as its satellite radio provider underscores the commitment of Nissan and XM to provide consumers with the best possible driving experience," said Hugh Panero, President and CEO of XM Satellite Radio.
