There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Thanks for the roundup. Toy Story 10AE at CC for me & probably bite the bullet & get The Sting SE there too. That's a nasty opening week price for it though, but nobody's lower.

I want the Innocents, but it'll only be Degrassi S3 this week. You didn't list it, but I am pretty much resigned to getting it at Best Buy anyway; Circuit City never seems to get it in.

It's the official start of the wallet-draining fourth quarter! Definite buys: Bela Lugosi Collection Hammer Collection Toy Story Probably getting: Best of SNL: Gilda Radner Possible Blind Buy: Lost...I've never seen it, but EVERONE seems to love it and the set sounds so extras-packed it might be worth it.

Wow. What a week. Big Posted Image and thanks to Mike as always. Putting together this week's list must have been quite a chore.

I've got lots of stuff on my to-buy list this week, but, as is becoming increasingly the case, almost everything I want is coming from online merchants. The days of great B&M deals seem to be in the past. I was really hoping someone would come through with a better price on the Universal 2-disc SEs, but I guess I'll stick with $18.89 (and no tax) for them from Amazon and be happy with the nearly $3 savings over buying them locally.

I will probably snag "Lost" at BB with that RZ deal and bonus disc.

Nothing spectacular at Fry's this week. They have "Lost" at $36.99 (best price if you're not a Reward Zone member) and Crash at $14.99.

P.S. - DVD Empire seems to be the place to get the Fox Studio Classic and Film Noir titles. I've got this week's FFN discs coming to me from them at $8.86 apiece - with free shipping and no tax. That's a $5 saving (including tax) per title over the best B&M price - assuming you can even find them on street date.
Three truths about movies, as noted by Roger Ebert:

* It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.
* No good movie is too long, and no bad movie is short enough.
* No good movie is depressing, all bad movies are depressing.

Thanks as always for the list, Mike. Just one tiny glitch that I see. My Best Buy store's online ad lists a $39.99 price for the Millennium Season 3 set (and apparently, so does Patrick's ad). BB may have started playing with regional pricing, but it looks more likely that the daunting list of titles led to a (common to my fingers) cut-and-paste mishap. Looks like just that title and Doctor Who: The Mind Robber for me, though there are a few other temptations out this week.

What a brutal week! There are so many titles that I want that I am actually afraid to list them... but, here goes:

Lost - season 1
The Innocents
Hammer Horror Series
Buffalo Bill - seasons 1 & 2
Doogie Howser - season 2
The Sting
Toy Story

As always, thanks Mike & Patrick. Bigger week than I was expecting as I didn't realize Bullwinkle season 3 was out this week - I thought it was later in September. I also didn't realize the SNL First 5 Years doc was this week, but with those prices I'll probably wait for the eventual price drop on that one. With that in mind, my week looks like this: Lost S1 Doogie S2 Bullwinkle S3

Am I the only one who thinks it's a great week but some bad B&M prices? I know most of this stuff I can do better online. Oh well I'm tapped this week anyways due to the disgusting gas prices, I'll revisit this week at some point later on.

Seems to be some conspiracy to not have any of the new Universal SEs, uh, excuse me, "Legacy Series" on sale. So, no hurry for me. At least the existing To Kill a Mockingbird is pretty decent (though not anamorphic) and I've had an anamorphic copy of The Sting for over a year from R2. I was hoping for a decent price on The Deer Hunter though. The current one is crap. At $20 I guess there is no hurry. Might drop by Wal-Mart and see if there is a good price on it, but since nobody else is doing it, I doubt it.

The first week I've been excited about, well, ever, and no deals on the titles I want. Figures.

Thanks Mike. Posted Image

"The Sting" and "To Kill a Mockingbird" this week only. Bad prices on them, too. Posted Image

I really can't afford to hop on the "Lost" bandwagon right now, so I'll probably be Netflix-ing that down the road to see how I like it.
