Around 7 PM Saturday night, ABC HD went blank. Then a series of promos of 720 P started. The clear difference between that and the HD I had been receiving before is that the image now filled the screen, no pillar bars.

This has again made me yearn for a set that can do 720P. I am not going to act on that yearning because my HD image is excellent in 1080I.

ABC chose to use some of the highest resolution material it had to demo the 720P. It looked great on my set. I just wonder how much better it would look on a display that could handle native 720P.

I also wonder how long it will be before Comcast/ABC starts using the 720P feed.
