And Germany doesn't even have the highest gas (petrol) prices in the industrialized world. It's even higher in Norway (and they export oil). Of course, the bigger and more troublesome problem is the "yo-yo" effect (something we experience here in Quebec, at least in the Montreal region, though not quite as frequently as described in the article).
