Pity. Hopefully that gets released somewhere at some point. Any word on whether or not these are going to be completley uncut? I've got mine preordered now, but I'm still a little nervous.

I bet they will release the 5 part pilot with other Disney Afternoon shows. I think all of them started with a multiple episode pilot (DuckTales, Chip 'N Dale, TaleSpin). But I guess it depends on the sales of volume one.

I just want to add to the "voting" for Tale Spin and Darkwing Duck. I watched Rescue Rangers and Ducktales as a child, but it's been so long since I saw them that I don't remember them at all. I haven't seen Tale Spin in awhile either, but I think it was more memorable for me. I have some Darkwing Duck on video, and I find it just as enjoyable as I did as a kid.

"Darkwing Duck" has held up amazingly well for me as well (I spent most of my high school years running... a popular DW fansite) and I enjoy it about as much as I did then - even if on some slightly different levels. Let's hope sales are good enough to get us all 91 UNCUT episodes. "Darkwing" and "Gargoyles" both got severe cuts on Toon Disney (very awkward at times) and some episodes just aren't aired anymore. Here's hoping!

Why would they not include the pilot?

Enough is enough, Disney. No more evasions or excuses. We DEMAND the release Song of the South on Blu-ray along with the uncut version of Bedknobs and Broomsticks on Blu-ray. I am going to boycott The Walt Disney Company until then. And while you're at it, PLEASE stop dropping DVD/laserdisc extras from Blu-ray releases of other films.

Taken directly from an Amazon reviewer called "spdrpan":
This rings true. If things are to be put on the sets in production order, it could very well be this way. I know that Darkwing Duck's "pilot" hour-long episode wasn't by any means the first one made.

Aren't the episodes that did make it onto the set presented in the airing order, though? In which case, this does not make sense.

And even if the pilot does show up on a later set, it would clearly mess up the chronologic order. Not good. Posted Image

Arlid: The list TVShowsonDVD.com were given was not the airdate order. I don't know what order that is, but it certainly is not aired that way. I posted the "real" order on page one of this thread.

Okay... Whatever the case, not including the pilot in the first set (and possibly not at all) is a mistake. Posted Image

I'm so disappointed that the pilot will not be included in this release, and the airdates thing doesnt make sense to me either. Pavan's list is correct, so why would Disney put them out this way?; unless Disney's list is production order, not airdate order. Either way, I'm very conflicted about getting this set without the pilot on it.

If they are using production order, then I hope when someone said the 5 part pilot was produced much later, would mean the pilot would appear in a later volume. I'd rather have a Disney Afternoon Pilot DVD. Most of them had all 5 part episodes to start off.

The DVD has... DISC ONE: ***Send in the Clones (9/21/97)*** ***Sphinx for the Memories (9/22/87)*** ***Where No Duck Has Gone Before (9/23/87)*** ***Armstrong (9/24/87)*** ***Robot Robbers (9/25/87)*** ***Magica's Shadow War (9/28/87)*** ***Master of the Djinni (9/29/87)*** ***Hotel Strangeduck (9/30/87)*** ***The Lost Crown of Genghis Khan (10/1/87)*** DISC TWO: ***Duckman of Aquatraz (10/2/87)*** ***The Money Vanishes (10/5/87)*** ***Sir Gyro de Gearloose (10/6/87)*** ***Dinosaur Ducks (10/7/87)*** ***Hero for Hire (10/8/87)*** ***Superdoo! (10/9/87)*** ***Maid of the Myth (10/12/87)*** ***Down and Out in Duckburg (10/13/87)*** ***Much Ado About Scrooge (10/14/87) DISC THREE: ***Top Duck (10/15/87)*** ***The Pearl of Wisdom (10/16/87)*** ***The Curse of Castle McDuck (10/19/87)*** ***Launchpad's Civil war (10/20/87)*** ***Sweet Duck of Youth (10/21/87)*** ***Earthquack (10/22/87)*** ***Home Sweet Homer (10/23/87)*** ***Bermuda Triangle Tangle (10/26/87)*** ***Microducks from Outer Space (10/27/87)*** Where did they get those dates? So they think that is airdate order? Maybe the reruns are going by production order? But the order I have them as, I remember them using that forever. Even in the early 90s. This gets more confusing...

We are also discussing the order situation at ultimatedisney.com on page 17 of this thread: http://www.ultimated....=193454#193454

Now that I think about it, this is what I think:

The order the DVD is using is the original airdate order from 1987-89. The order we are now used to started in the fall of 1990 when the Disney Afternoon was born and later was used on cable on Disney and Toon Disney. That is what I think after investigating.

Hate to keep replying, but for Chip 'n Dale the 5-part pilot ("To the Rescue") is not included either.

DISC ONE:
***Catteries Not Included***
***Three Men and a Booby***
***The Carpetsnaggers***
***Piratsy Under the Sea***
***Adventures in Squirrelsitting***
***Flash the Wonder Dog***
***The Pound of the Baskervilles***
***Parental Discretion Retired***
***Risky Beesness***

DISC TWO:
***Bearing Up Baby***
***Out to Launch***
***Dale Beside Himself***
***Kiwi's Big Adventure***
***A Lad in a Lamp***
***The Battle of the Bulge***
***Ghost of a Chance***
***An Elephant Never Suspects***
***A Case of Stageblight***

DISC THREE:
***The Luck Stops Here***
***Fake Me to Your Leader***
***Last Train to Cashville***
***The Case of the Cola Cult***
***Throw Mummy from the Train***
***A Wolf in Cheap Clothing***
***Prehysterical Pet***
***Robocat***
***Does Pavlov Ring a Bell?***

Again, this is not following what we see in reruns today.

http://www.toonarifi...php?show_id=759 This site apparently follows the DVD and as you can see the 5-part pilot is much later. So, if the DVD follows this order, we will get the pilot in another volume!

Also, Normie's Science Project is missing. If they are going in that order that would be #16 between Battle of the Bulge and Ghost of a Chance.

If it would get Disney to release all the mini-part episodes later on, then yes, I will buy this set. Pavan, your prediction for the volumes look reasonable to me; I bet that's how Disney releases them.

We have an official list of episodes for Rescue Rangers (http://www.tvshowson...cfm?NewsID=4380) and DuckTales (http://www.tvshowson...cfm?NewsID=4381). The DuckTales episodes are the ones we posted back in August.

I can't wait to pick the Rescue Rangers set up, probably get it for the holidays Posted Image

So, is it just the episodes only...no extras at all? If not, thats too bad, I was hoping for a little something extra on there. No pilot either, unfortunately.
