Hey all

I like some opinions on the PowerMac G5?

Can anyone tell me whether you have good or bad experiences?

I have a dual 2.0 G5 PowerMac and overall, I am extremely happy. There have been a few problems, mainly with the fans revving at full speed for no reason. It never affected the performance. It was just plain annoying. This has seemed to lessen and doesn't do it much at all any more.

I've been using my machine to both do print graphics and video editing and it rocks! Tiger has made it even better. I put in 3.5GBs of RAM and an extra internal hard drive. This computer has been very stable. I've had it since March and I have no regrets. Posted Image Posted Image

One of my university's computer labs has a couple of 'em, and I've used them for video editing. I would really, really like one.

I am seriously interested in buying a G5 and would like to get the best possible deal. Is APPLE Mfg. the best way to go or is there a wholesale distributor?
Thx,Jon
