I liked episode 3 the best.. I hated episode 2. I feel that you don;t need to see episode 1 or 2 to see episode 3.. unlike other movies like lotr or something.
I have the other 5 star wars movies. I will be collecting episode 3.. this fall is going to be big.. with other movies coming out, both new and old.

I'd pick up the prequels in a box.

At one time this would have been a nobrainer. Now I will pass. I have TPM but passed on AOTC.

Something change after you saw the movie? I don't remember you hating it.

I hope that the press release is wrong and all 18 will be on the disc. Especially since one of them is about the score and it seems unlikely that they would leave that one off the disc.
The webdoc about the score was left off of the Attack of the Clones disc, if I'm not mistaken.

I wonder if I can get my projector by then? Posted Image I also wonder how long thereafter will be the first of many box set releases.

Thanks for checking. So yes there are 18 as of now and the last one I have (#18) is about Sidious.

Also I didn't know that Episode II DVD didn't include all the webdocs. How come? That's too bad.

It would be the "Ending..." I guess! Posted Image

But seriously I enjoyed the Episode II documentary too. The Episode I and II documentaries are completely 2 different beasts. The EII doc is about the technical stuff and I love it.

The EI doc was more about the human story and the drama, magic and excitement of making a Star Wars movie after 16 years. It would have been impossible to do the same for EII documentary. The excitement and magic had gone and the production of Episode II was truly focused on the technical and action stuff. So the EII doc is appropriate actually!

Excellent news, but man, 3 months away! I've always hated the waiting game with movies coming to home video, this will be one of the more painful waits for me.

I'm a tad concerned about the image quality, I though that Ep II while looking spectacular, was a bit on the soft side. It's a minor complaint, i'm sure this dvd will utterly rock the joint to the foundation! Posted Image

One last thing, any news on whether or not the MTV Movie Awards parody with Jimmy Fallon will be on it? It was freaking hysterical! Posted Image

The documentary on Anakin sounds really, really cool. Given that I loved the ROTS script, I hope we can get into Lucas' mind and see how he made the PT (and ROTS in particular) fit so well with the existing story in the OT.

You said it, although I can usually tolerate it, but there are just some films that are pure hell waiting for...

Jurassic Park

Terminator 2

Titanic

Lord of the Rings

and the Star Wars saga...all of them.

I'm going to sell my OT set and wait until each of the Star Wars films are released in 3- or 4-disc editions...

It could happen. I may be waiting a while though.

You totally brought me down with that realization. I guess I live in a delusional state and didn't comprehend just how far away that isPosted Image

Dane, I doubt you'll ever see a three or four disc edition of each movie. I'd be surprised if they even made two disc versions of each of the originals. I hope I'm wrong though.

That cover does look rather cool. I've liked all the cover art for the PT trilogy though. I would have preferred the theatrical poster art for AOTC though for that disc. That is my favorite poster of the PT.

Like Mike said, a full length doc could rival The Beginning. I also think that ALL the stuff on the PT extras has been truly great. I loved From Pixels to Puppets and the Sound Mixing thing Burrt did on II. Great extras and I'm sure we'll get great stuff from this ROTS set.

Something Lucas has never done that I would LOVE is an isolated score for ROTS. That score is one of the best ever and deserves it's own track. We're not getting it but it would be cool.

It's going to be an expensive buying Fall with the Ben Hur Set, Titanic, Wizard Of OZ, Alias, Batman Begins, WOTW, and that little film called Revenge Of The Sith. :b

What I would like even more is an isolated sound effects track. They can release the score on CD (granted the music probably wouldn't exactly be as it plays in the movie though) but a DVD is the only place you'd ever get to hear an isolated sound effects track.
