My brother is looking for a receiver and I offered to sell him my Pioneer 1014 for $280 and I found a refurb Onkyo 702 for $500. Would this be a good upgrade? I have no issues with my Pioneer, it does everything I need it to do, except sometimes I feel the Amp in the unit is a little lacking for my speakers (Athena F2's, Athena Center, B2's surrounds, R1's rear.) I have owned Onkyo receivers for years and the Pioneer is the first receiver I have bought outside the Onkyo family.

Would you guys recommend me swapping the units or should I just stick with the Pioneer for a little while longer? I would like to get a unit with an HDMI connection, but my TV does not support the feature so it is kind of pointless right now anyways.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
