DIRECTOR FILMOGRAPHY - The Films of EDWARD D. WOOD JR.
Here it is folks, this is what we’ve all been waiting for - the final director checklist.
Ah, what a long strange journey it’s been.
Had many more directors on my list that I would’ve liked to get to, but all things must come to an end sometime & 200 is a good stopping point. I tried to cover as much variety as possible from the obvious “greats” to classic Hollywood directors to genre/cult directors, modern popular directors, critically acclaimed directors, etc, etc. Had some miscalculations along the way (Budd Boetticher) and probably didn’t get to as many foreign film directors as the Sight & Sound club would’ve liked, but you can’t make everyone happy it seems.
If anyone wants to continue on with this checklist series, go for it. I might even join in as a participant but I’m done doing any of the work.
I’ve learned a couple things along the way………..
Steve Christou is living proof that not every Brit pays heed to that ridiculous Sight & Sound poll. Thank God.
I’ve discovered that George Kaplan hates Horror movies almost as much as Brook hates movies made in the English language.
And SteveGon really hates Armageddon, and……… um…………… er………..hm……..**taps forehead - thinking**…………… did I already mention Armageddon?
Anyway you all know the drill……………..
Rank ‘em, rate ‘em, review ‘em or whatever.
