Well you won't get Jack Briggs rating Peter Hyams work Jim, he loathes Hyams because he dared, with author Arthur C.Clarke's approval and cooperation, make a sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey. I thought 2010 (or Ten Past Eight as I like to call it) was a decent effort, state of the art (for their time) visual effects, but no where as good as Kubrick's masterpiece.

A Sound of Thunder was pretty bad, but enjoyably bad rather than unwatchably bad. Some fun visuals compensate for tv movie acting and bad dialogue. Poor Ben Kingsley how many more duff movies can he add to his resume? I'll be adding this to my Battlefield Earth shelf.
