Hi Jim- I've only seen a few pictures on the list, but I would rank Tootsie as a real fave of mine. Saw it recently on TV (after not viewing it in many years) and I thought it was as good as I remembered and has held up very well. I don't purchase many DVDs (fewer now with -I hope- a high definition format around the corner), but this would be one I'd like to get.

Timmy,

I'm not really a fan of the crossdressing comedy subgenre. Films like Tootsie, Victor Victoria, Mrs Doubtfire, etc. don't really appeal me. The only times it worked for me are with Monty Python & Some Like it Hot. :D

Priscilla Queen Of the Desert is a good one.

1. Jeremiah Johnson - B+ (Is this the shortest movie on record with an overture and intermission? It's only around 100 minutes)
2. Three Days Of The Condor - B
3. The Firm - B
4. Sketches of Frank Gehry - B
5. Tootsie - B-
6. The Interpreter - C+

They Shoot Horses, Don't They? is sadly underseen. I think it is thoughful, powerful and extrememly well-acted. One of my all-time faves.

Bolded films I've seen. Also seen some of the others but don't remember anything about 'em.

In order of merit:

1.Tootsie (1982) ***1/2
2.They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969) ***1/2
3.Three Days of the Condor (1975) ***
4.Jeremiah Johnson (1972) ***
5.The Scalphunters (1968) ***
6.The Firm (1993) **1/2
7.The Interpreter (2005) **1/2

I also have THE SLENDER THREAD (1965), THE WAY WE WERE (1973) and OUT OF AFRICA (1985) on VHS.

From the rest of his filmography, I'd really like to watch CASTLE KEEP (1969), THE YAKUZA (1975) and ABSENCE OF MALICE (1981) - all of which, ironically, I missed out on watching on VHS over the years:)!
