I must have seen most of Chaplin's films in my childhood on tv. I was a fan at 10, now I'd be hard pressed to raise even a smile at any of these ancient comedies and not just Chaplins. The Marx Bros were infinitely funnier IMO and my favorite golden age screen comics.Posted Image

That said I do own 2 Chaplin movies and they basically represent that style of comedy in my 3000+ movie collection.

I've seen the majority, if not all of his shorts but will rate them later in the year when I revisit them. I also need to revisit A KING IN NEW YORK and LIMELIGHT since I can't remember too much about them.
