edit: oops...not sure if this belongs in receivers or not...if so please feel free to move.

hey all -

does anyone here use their audio synch delay functionality? it looks like i may have to with my new tv setup.

one issue seems to be the inconsistency between my satellite and dvd sources. for my dvd, a delay of around 23ms seems right (i'm still playing with this whole thing). but for my satellite, a delay of about 50ms seems more like it.

i don't know if those numbers seem high, plus it seems that sometimes the adjusted delay doesn't work...but i think i'm focusing on it too hard.

anyway, just wondering what you all are doing in this regard. also, is there any clear calibration type stuff i can use in this case? test tones tied to visuals, etc? sometimes watching people's mouths isn't very accurate...

thx!
