Today's Woot:

Audiovox Portable DVD & VHS System with 5.6" LCD
$129.99 + $5.00 Shipping and Handling

Features:
Condition: New
5.6” Reversible, Detachable LCD Screen
Front/Top Loading DVD/MP3/CD Player and VCP (VHS)
Input and Output Jacks
2 Headphone Jacks
Remote Control
Includes all Mounting Straps
Plays DVD and VCP at the Same Time (Optional Second Screen Required)
Upgradable for 2 Additional Screens
OSD (On Screen Display)
Dual Speakers
Brightness and Volume Controls

Potential Bonus (first time I've seen this on a Woot.com item):
An extra 5.6” LCD will be added to your order if the last digit of your order number matches the last integer of today’s Dow Jones Industrial Average or Nasdaq after the markets close.

For instance, yesterday the DJIA closed at 10547.57 and the NASDAQ closed at 2069.04 . If this contest was yesterday, all Woot orders ending in 7 and 9 would get an additional LCD. If you ordered 1, you’d get one extra LCD, 2 you’d get 2 extra LCDs, and if you ordered the maximum of 3 you’d get 3 extra LCDs. If both indices end with the same final integer, then we luck out and only have to give out half as many free LCDs.

Needless to say, do not order unless you want your order as it’s placed without the extra LCD. Orders will be released to the warehouse and in transit as soon as we know the winning number!

As posted earlier - for under $2,500 you can have a brand new 2005 HD2+ DLP projector with the latest video processors, twice the CR levels, longer lamp life, HDMI input, and three year warranty.

$2,200 for a refurbished 2003 first generation HD DLP projector with a 90 day warranty is a deal worth passing up.

Two years ago this was a really nice projector, but both technology and falling prices have already made it rather obsolete, certainly at that asking price.

(click here for a list of alternative projectors that in some cases cost less that $1,800)

Wow - that went fast. They blew through 450 units by 8:32 am central time. I nabbed two. I picked up an MX-600 (this same unit but with RF capability) a while back and love it. Now I have one for the other tvs in my house.

Thanks for reminding me about this site, everyone! I remember it from about 4 years ago, and it definately is worth a look. So what is the average length an item has on sale and how secure is the payment method?

24 hours per item, unless there is a 'woot off' which they keep changing items once they sell out, which can be within 5 minutes, or 5 hours.

Never had a problem with their payment or delivery. I ordered that gyro mouse/keyboard combo on Sunday I think it was, and it arrived wednesday.
