I am installing new speakers in a chevy silverado does anyone know which wire is positive and neg. on the factory wires or does it make any difference? One wire is dark green one is lite green.

I recommend that you buy adapter harnesses for your head unit as well as the factory speaker wiring. The stuff you need should be available from your local Best Buy/Circuit City/ car audio emporium. You don't cut anything, you're sure it's hooked up right, and it is easy.
