Hey guys, I've got a 6.1 reciever, but only 5.1 setup right now. Would I benefit from getting on more rear speaker to mount in the middle, rear? What does that speaker do when listening to DTS and DD5.1?

It does make the sound field more immersive, especially on movies encoded with 6.1.
Have a listen to the Incredibles in 6.1 ; you won't look back

what's the best speaker to put in back on a 6.1 system? I have a 6.1 receiver and am VERY happy with my 5.1, but am curious. Would another centre speaker be appropriate? A matching speaker for my current rear monopoles? A dipole/bipole? No consensus on this? (I'd bet the last option).

My rears are JBL N series. I was wondering if there is a place where I can pick up only 1 rear speaker, not the pair... Either the N24 or N26...

I had a Paradigm cc-170 on the tv and I used the exact same speaker for my rear center. Sounds great and you can eaisly buy just one of them.
