what would be a better 7.1 setup with 2 bookshelfs or 2 towers for a nice thx set up . what would be the pros and cons of each ... these speakers would be for the fronts

I'd take a 160 over a 250 Floorstander, I'd take a 360 over the 160....
The 360's will make a lot of sound from modest amps, pretty dramatically over the others in the line, from my experiences.

this is an old thread, but it cant hurt to offer a second to john's adivce. the 360's and the 160's are the stars of the line, and would certainly take the 160 bookshelfs over the 250 towers. in fact, i did.
