They've taken comedy and broken it into four 'regional' categories: Broad (grossout, general, etc), SNL Cast Member (excluding cameos and 1983season), Smart (appeals to specific tastes) and Classics (25+ years old).
Each 'region' has 16 films seeded in eight brackets. I'll post two from each of the four brackets a day for then one from each bracket per day for the second round and the sweet sixteen.
MSNBC has a contest up trying to guess what they picked as winning the whole tournement, but I think it's more interesting to just vote which one you think of as the better comedy.
