I have a Sanyo PLV3 and a Samsung T160 Satellite Set top box. I have a purple band at the top of the screen and I have notice a little jump in the picture. This unit is connected to compontent out cables. My DVD which is HDMI has no problem. Any ideas?

Do you have a speaker about where the purple spot is located?

Kipp,

Like Charles said, do you have any sort of speaker or anything else that has a magnetic field on or around your television? Is the purple band at the top of the screen there only when watching through the satellite box, or is it on the screen 100% of the time. If it is there all the time, chances are either there is a speaker or something else with a magnetic field near the tv. Good luck!

So watching via dvd on the same display has no problems? If you switch over the component cables to the dvd player are there still issues?
