(A face only a mother could love)

As mammals go, the star-nosed mole probably won't be my first choice as a pet. As creatures go, some of those in the deep seas would easily give the mole a run for its money.

Nah, fish are way uglier....
"Did you know that more people are murdered at 92 degrees Fahrenheit than any other temperature? I read an article once. Lower temperatures, people are easy-going, over 92 and it's too hot to move, but just 92, people get irritable."

Yea, the proboscis monkey is definitely one of the ugliest primates.

One of the ugliest animals to me is the naked mole rat:

That's just a stone fish. They sell them in open holding tanks (ie, even children could just reach in and grab them) at a local pet store for $99. The venom from it's bite will rapidly kill a grown man.

stone fish sting they don't bite. they have a toxin on the spines along their backs. usually very painful. in rare cases can cause hypotension. proteins in fish venoms are heat labile and can be destroyed by soaking the affected body part if very hot but not scalding water. never been stung but apparently they can be extremely painful.
