I'm surprised that none of the following have made their way to DVD yet:

Butcher Boy, The
Kissed
Metropolitan
Music of Chance, The
Naked
Reflecting Skin, The
Ruby in Paradise
Spanking the Monkey

I wonder if there are any reasons for their absence on DVD? Is it a rights issue?

Any other films from the 90's you would like to see released on DVD?

i would love to see Music of Chance.
Sony (Columbia) holds the rights to it, and considering they are now routinely releasing 'who was asking for that?" caliber titles, its a surprise they haven't busted that one out yet.
of course when they do, you can't count on them to maintain OAR integrity anymore, so maybe its just as well.

Quick Change is due for a release somethime this year i believe (i know it was mentioned in one of the previous chats as being on the sched.)

the only other 90s film i want but don't have is The Rocketeer. i realize a disc is available but its non-anamorphic and worthless on any large display, and in desperate need of re-master.

Lost Highway (I realize I could get it from other regions, but have been waiting on the R1)
Autumn Tale
A Tale of Winter
(will probably have to break down and go R2 for these)
To Sleep With Anger
Last Days of Disco is OOP right? It needs a new DVD as I missed it the 1st time around.
No Telling (aka The Frankenstein Complex)
Delicatessen
Meet The Feebles (is it finally coming out this year?)

One of the only films of the late 90's yet to make it to DVD is Doug's First Movie. Also, I believe Duck Tales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp has yet to make it to DVD. It also appears to be discontinued on VHS.

Lots of great films mentioned, I didn't even try to approach foreign films as there are way too many that aren't on DVD yet.

I forgot about Kafka & King of the Hill, I'm very surprised that these aren't out on DVD seeing how Soderburgh has become a pretty big director in Hollywood.

I picked up Vincent & Theo from the UK, but I would love to see the full length 4 hour version one day

How many different threads do we need asking about films we would like to see released or re-released to DVD?

Or should I have started a new thread asking this question?

Heck I have to post again...

If we continue to allow threads like this...

...it opens the door for...

"What Westerns from 1958 do you want to see on DVD?"

Sorry Jay... it's either this or we have to start a whole new forum entitled "DVD Wants"

Then there are those movies from the late '90s that came out but are now OOP (R1). Case in point, my reasonably treasured copy of TOPSY-TURVY, which is now doo-doo because of a crappy glue job. Great to find out its OOP after it goes bad. Anyway, I'm sure a re-issue of this is right around the corner. :rolleyes
