Anyone know anything yet about if all the original music is still in the episodes?

Is Cannell replacing all the music because he can't pay for it, or because he doesn't want to pay for it? (Well, I know he personally has lots of money; when I ask whether "he" can't pay for it I mean his production company.) I wish someone would ask him point-blank about why he's doing this.

I realize that Cannell, as an independent producer (one of the few TV producers who actually owned his own shows and produced them himself) doesn't have the resources that the big studios have for producing a DVD set, but I agree that he's not doing a bang-up job with these things.

Believe it or not, I'm walking on air,
I never thought I could feel so free!
Flying away on a wing and a prayer,
Who could it be?
Believe it or not, it's just me!

When I saw Aryn's cover in post #29 of this thread, I was hesitant (no offense intended, Aryn) to think that this was the final cover art. Anchor Bay's TV releases have pretty steadily had pics of the star characters on them, and I really thought that what Aryn showed couldn't be final...it looked too "plain" compared to what AB usually put out. That's why I didn't comment nor use that art at TSoD.

Turns out I was correct; I posted the final cover art this morning:

Anchor Bay says the 8th, and that's what I put in my news, too.

Amazon says "15th" for some reason (but every other e-tailer says "8th"). Our release listing said 15th until a minute ago when I corrected it to the 8th. My guess is that Gord was setting up the Amazon link when he created that release listing, and used whatever date he saw in Amazon. Sorry about that if true.

Everything points to Feb. 8th except for one e-tailer (no matter how big they are). Posted Image

Hey, Dave L....didn't know you were a "singer" Posted Image

I presume you are referring to the GAH news item where I quote the lyrics from the theme song! Posted Image

I love music, and can go along with many MANY popular songs and recall all the words as I go. However, if you ask anybody who's heard me sing, they'll tell you with certainly that David Lambert is no singer! Posted Image

On the other hand, I'm a big fan of Marc Singer...

Cannell Co's information - which was sent through Anchor Bay's info system - specifically said Heroine was unaired. Here's the quote:

Quote:
This collection features every first season episode — including the Emmy-nominated pilot — plus all-new interviews with the show’s stars and the unaired pilot for the proposed spin-off series THE GREATEST AMERICAN HEROINE.

Generally speaking, "unaired" means it wasn't aired during the original network run. In that context, "Greatest American Heroine" is accurately listed as "unaired."

I hope they release all the episodes in one set. I can live with 2 volumes but it would be nice to get them all at once.

So "Greatest American Heroine" unaired pilot is in the season one set then ? Thats pretty cool i didn't even notice that reading the specs, must have overlooked it. I was gonna ask down the road about it possibly being in season 3 set. Who actually played the Heroine ? as i have never seen this. I got charged for my set today so it looks like its shipping early Posted Image

I haven't seen the show since it aired originally, so I don't remember much about it. I do remember the theme song though.

That symbol on his chest looks a lot like the chinese symbol 中, meaning "middle". I wonder if that is just a coincidence.
