Individual Titles contained in collections listed above:

Warner Gangster’s Collection: Public Enemy, White Heat, Angels With Dirty Faces, Little Caesar, Petrified Forest, Roaring Twenties.

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including (or the ones Dave tells me he's looking for ;o)). In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. So, please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like Dave & I do!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii. Also note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the standard Roundup: they set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is not a way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. When it comes to Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices mentioned at all, just remember that "Your Mileage May Vary".

Bless you Mike for HighLighting the Warner Brothers Gangster Collection. Did you ever get Showgirls S.E. for Christmas? The Target website has the Gangsters for $48.24, any chance the B&M will be the same? jack ps also noticed no single editon of Little Ceaser.

Mike and Patrick, thanks for the hard work. No deals anywhere on buying both Predator and Predator 2? Kinda surprising with the release of AvP and Predator 2 CE. Anybody know what's so special about the new October Sky release? This SE caught me by surprise as I didn't know it was coming. I really like the movie, so an extras-packed SE might be a good double-dip.

Target.com's Music, Movies and Books are done through Amazon.com, not the store. I think it's doubtful that we'll have it in-store.

Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow has a special bonus disc only available at Wal-Mart that features "never-before-seen featurette" according to the packaging.

I guess I'll be making the special trip to Wally World to pick up Sky Captain. I'll also be getting BTAS V2, STAS V1 and Coupling S4 this week.

The original release contained just a "Spotlight On Location" featurette & the theatrical trailer. The new SE adds a commentary by Homer Hickam, and a new featurette called "Aiming High: The Story of the Rocket Boys". The blurb on this says "Hear the story of the real "Rocket Boys" as they supported Homer Hickman in his journey from a coal mining town to NASA."

The Hickam commentary was enough to get me to double-dip, especially since it's so cheap (pre-ordered it from Deep Discount DVD at $9.35 shipped).

Speaking of DDD, they have a killer deal on the new Crying Game SE which blows the B&M prices away with a howitzer - only $10.63 shipped!!

Thanks as always, Mike, for the Roundup!

Thanks Mike for all of your hard work. Nothing for me this week of the new releases but I'm thinking of biting on the Kill Bill deal at Circuit City (3 for $30) given that it doesn't seem that a special edition is coming any time soon - which I have been holding out for. Question being, is Circuit City a stickler when it comes to these deals that I must purchase 3 DVDs to get the deal activated ($10 each)? Unfortunately, there are no other DVD's in the deal that I want that I don't already have.
