Good morning. I am thinking of picking up the Denon DVD-2900 as I feel it's time to upgrade my current DVD player. However, I was wondering if someone can confirm the players compatibilty with burned DVDs. I make a lot of home movies that are finalized on my computer which only has a DVD+R/W drive. Can anyone tell me first-hand whether or not the 2900 can play DVD+Rs without problems?

Thanks.

I dont know if this helps, but I have a Crutchfield catalog here and it has the Denon DVD-2910 model, which I assume is the replacement to the 2900, and it lists that the 2910 does support both DVD-R and DVD+R playback.

I have not had a problem so far (knock on wood) with any of the following formats playing:

DVD-R
DVD-RW
DVD+R
DVD+RW
DVD-Audio
SACD
DVD-Video
CD

There have been threads about the 2900 being picky with brand of media but I think there's more to it than that. I've used Prodisc, Ritek, TDK, and Verbatim without problems.
