I have the new Comcast DVR cable box. I am using an S video and a digital coax audio cable out to a Denon 3803 receiver.

What setting should the Denon be on? My choices seem to be Dolby PLII, Neo 6 Cinema, and SOMETIMES it says Dolby Digital or something to that effect (although, I dont know why it switches.)

I was hoping for digital surround. Do I just have to wait until something on HBO that I KNOW broadcasts in digital?

Any help is appreciated.

Dolby Digital is only available on certain broadcasts. This includes movie channels and HDTV channels, but many will be 2.0 rather than 5.1. Your Denon should auto-detect this.

Otherwise I would just leave it on PLII.
