I came across the MX-500 at www.ebuyer.com a couple days ago for only $68.99 w/ free shipping. I had been contemplating buying one for a while. they MSRP at $189. Universal Remote Control has released a new line of remotes but the Home Theater Master MX-500 (click for review from Remote Central) is far from obsolete. I ordered one the other day, but noticed today that they are sold out. I'm assuming they will get more in. But I just wanted to let everyone know this great deal.

Too bad you can't program this on your computer like its big brother the MX-700--could be trouble if you have a tricky remote code that the universal won't learn on its own, and makes inputing discrete codes that aren't on the original remote impossible. Nice price for a great universal though.

You can program it on the computer if you also get the IRCLONE-MX

Please be aware that if you buy any HTM remote (other than the MX-500) from an unauthorized dealer like ebuyer, you won't get warranty coverage from Home Theater Master.
Enjoy!
