I am in need of a subwoofer amplifier for my diy sub. It has about a 2.8 feet internal volume. Using a Shiva 12" driver. In a sealed box design. The amp will be separate from the sub. I am thinking of just building a small cube to put the plate amp in. My question is which plate amp should I get? Are the plate amps from PartsExpress any good? I was also looking at Rythmik Audio plate amps. Has anyone used one of these before. I am leaning towards a plain old 250w amp, but the rythmik 350w amp looks pretty enticing. Just looking for some advice.

On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

I think the 250W is a good match for the Shiva, the only advantage you would get with the 350 is that you could upgrade to the Tempest and not need a new amp.

I run a 250w plate amp from PE on a ported tempest think it's plenty. Should be enough for a shiva.
