Trying to link to an image on a webserver that doesn't allow image links....

Har dee har.. it works!

Interestingly...I don't see it. Just that cute little box with the red "x" in it.

Anybody else?

Dave it's in your own browser cache. We can't see it.

Odd.. it was there yesterday. I was sure to clear my cache before I checked it.

Looks like those bastards over at topcities are on to my plan. Grrr.. foiled again.

Let's try this one:

I do NOT see a graphic in Post #1.

I DO see the graph in Post #6.

Ha! So, it looks like I can link to images if I change the file extension from ".jpg" to ".htm". This fools topcities into thinking its serving up a webpage. But, the HTML in the post tells your browser it's really an image.

My first attempt was with a ".txt"... but, it seems topcities doesn't appreciate links to text files either.

This would probably work with most freebie-non-image-sharing webhosters.

It's not a new trick.. I was just trying to remember how it's done.
