How important is FireWire? (1 Viewer)

I'm very interested in the new Sony KDF-55WF655, but should I be concerned that it doesn't have FireWire connections? I know it's impossible to "future-proof" electronics, but I don't want to be bummed in the near future that I don't have them.

Firewire for what? Firmware upgrades? DVI w/HDCP and possibly HDMI is all you need to be concerned over for future-proof video connections.
